The Event is a popular fixture on Basel’s musical and cultural scene. Basel on the world-famous Edinburgh Tattoo, Basel’s version takes place in front of a historical backdrop. The courtyard of the city’s barracks is transformed into an arena that holds a capacity of 7500 spectators. The audience is drawn under the spell of bagpipes, brass music and folkloric dance.
